The Senior Accounting Specialist plays a crucial role in managing various accounting tasks within Aramark, focusing primarily on cash receipts and supplier collections. This position is integral to enhancing cash application processes and optimizing collection efforts.
Reporting Structure: This role reports directly to the Supervisor of Accounts Receivable.
Key ResponsibilitiesMain Duties:
? Execute daily cash receipt processing to ensure accurate accounting practices are upheld.
? Allocate open cash and credits to accounts as instructed.
? Prepare journal entries related to accounts receivable.
? Conduct reconciliations of customer accounts.
? Perform necessary research on cash receipts, including reviewing supplier agreements and liaising with suppliers.
? Enhance cash flow by intensifying collection strategies.
? Collaborate with Contracting and suppliers to address collection challenges.
? Oversee W-9 and ACH wire requests from suppliers.
? Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities associated with accounts receivable.
? Manage and recover allocated allowances.
Additional Duties:
? Provide support for the administration of the Supplier Invoice Portal and the allowance billing mailbox.
? Engage in the implementation of process enhancements to boost accounts receivable collections.
? Document and manage eRM support incidents as required.
? Conduct research and participate in special projects as assigned.

QualificationsRequired Skills:

? Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
? Exceptional organizational skills.
Travel Requirements: None.
Experience: 2-4 years of relevant experience in accounts receivable.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
