Position Summary

We are seeking a committed individual to become part of our team as a Healthcare Support Specialist. In this position, you will play a vital role in delivering both administrative and clinical assistance at our healthcare facility, working under the guidance of the Office Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome clients and patients, assisting them with necessary documentation
  • Gather medical histories and primary concerns
  • Maintain patient records and manage appointment scheduling
  • Conduct routine clinical tasks
  • Confirm patient health insurance eligibility
  • Prepare patients for examinations and carry out basic medical assessments
  • Provide insights to licensed healthcare professionals
  • Ensure supplies and equipment are organized and functional
  • Comply with professional standards and legal requirements
  • Accurately document patient information
  • Administer injections and perform blood draws
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required

Qualifications:

  • Preferred Medical Assistant Certification
  • Experience with EHR/EMR systems is advantageous
  • Strong communication abilities
  • At least 6 months of relevant experience preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
