Job Title: Cardiac Care Specialist

A cardiac care specialist at Aequor Technologies is responsible for monitoring and assessing patients with cardiac conditions using telemetry equipment. The specialist will track heart rhythms and vital signs to detect any abnormalities or changes.



The specialist will administer medications, intravenous fluids, and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring proper dosages and patient safety. They will respond promptly to changes in patient status, initiating interventions such as administering medications, providing oxygen therapy, or notifying the physician.



The specialist will perform regular patient assessments, documenting changes in condition, symptoms, and responses to treatments in electronic health records (EHR). They will educate patients and their families on cardiac care, including post-discharge instructions, medication management, and lifestyle changes to support heart health.



The specialist will collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients. They will assist in preparing patients for cardiac procedures, ensuring they understand the process and are ready for surgery or interventions.



The specialist will maintain accurate documentation of telemetry monitoring, assessments, and interventions in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards. They will adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment when handling medical equipment and providing care.



The specialist will provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families, fostering a compassionate and patient-centered care environment.



Requirements:




  • Current RN state license in good standing
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a telemetry or cardiac care setting
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
  • Proficiency in interpreting cardiac rhythms and telemetry monitoring
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple patients and responding to changes in condition
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
