About the Role:
As a Front Desk Clerk in the Administration Department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth front desk operations and delivering exceptional service to patients and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Professionally welcome patients upon their arrival
- Maintain a strong understanding of customer service principles
- Accurately manage demographic, insurance, and financial information
- Organize and oversee patient records
- Assist with various clerical duties, including handling mail and answering phone calls
- Process payments and conduct exit interviews
- Complete financial and patient documentation
- Support the registration process and appointment scheduling
- Contribute to safety and infection control protocols
- Engage in performance improvement initiatives
- Exhibit outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills
- Comply with company policies and maintain a professional appearance
- Participate in mandatory meetings and training sessions
- Remain adaptable to staffing needs
- Ensure adherence to attendance standards
- Adjust to changes in job assignments
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of office experience in a healthcare environment preferred
- Previous customer service experience is valued
- Effective communication skills, both in-person and over the phone
- Basic understanding of medical terminology
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
- Capable of performing basic math and reasoning tasks
- Proficient in computer skills
- BLS certification required
