Fulfillment Operations Expert

About the RoleAs a Fulfillment Expert at Target, you will be part of a dynamic team that enables a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring they get what they want, when they want it, and how they want it. Your daily work will involve picking, prepping, packing, sorting, and shipping products safely, efficiently, and effectively to deliver convenience and quality for our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
- Observe and understand guest needs, following body language and verbal clues to tailor your approach
- Engage with guests in a genuine way, asking questions to better understand their specific needs
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the store to solve issues for guests and improve their experience
- Thank guests in a genuine way and let them know we're happy they chose to shop at Target
- Select items for order pickup, drive-up, and ship-to-home for digital guest orders
- Accurately put on hold all order pickup and drive-up orders
- Properly prepare, pack, and sort guest orders for shipment using correct materials
- Deliver quality and accuracy with each order while meeting timeliness goals
- Own your workspace and supplies, keeping equipment and designated areas organized and supplies in stock
- Properly use equipment while following safety best practices
- Follow all safety guidelines, operating procedures, product freshness, and quality standards
- Always demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
- Work in a safe manner at all times to benefit yourself and others, identifying and correcting hazards, and complying with all safety policies and best practices
- Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick-up, and Drive-up, maintaining a compliance culture while executing those duties
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members
- Learn and adapt to current technology needs
- Work both independently and with a team
- Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot
- Attention to detail and follow a multi-step process
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
- Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
- Climb up and down ladders
- Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance from others, and team lift items 45-100 pounds
- Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, and holidays) and regular, reliable, and prompt attendance necessary
- Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary)
