Job Summary
Giant Eagle Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Distribution Systems Support Team as a Warehouse Inventory Support Specialist. This role is responsible for providing support to various areas of distribution operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter verifications into the system in a timely manner to ensure accurate inventory levels.
- Follow all applicable safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Enter identification numbers of processed purchase orders into the scheduling database to facilitate efficient order fulfillment.
- Be flexible in scheduling and availability to work various shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Complete all assignments in a timely manner, including cycle counts, audits, and research discrepancies to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain tracking, reporting, and filing systems to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Audit outbound orders to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Review batching information to verify shipping sequences and ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor drops to ensure customers receive the products they ordered.
- Perform all aspects of the reset area, including scanning and palletizing products, processing damages, and maintaining counts.
- Assist operations in monitoring voice selection to ensure drops/resets are completed for load departure.
- Coordinate training of new personnel and cross-training of current staff to ensure knowledge sharing and skill development.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- 0 to 6 months of experience in a related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Lifting requirement: up to 50 pounds.
- Travel required: none.
- Age requirement: at least 18 years of age.
