Job Summary

Fidelity Investments is seeking a highly skilled Principal Network Engineer to join our Network Core and Site Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, engineering, and implementing Fidelity's datacenter and co-location core network routing and switching with a focus on stability, automation, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement large-scale enterprise infrastructure technologies for compute infrastructure connectivity over EVPN-VXLAN overlay networks.
  • Configure and support HPE and Cisco networking platforms.
  • Develop and maintain network engineering and troubleshooting skills, including routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, VRF, VPNs), switched protocols (PVST, RPVST, HSRP/VRRP), and monitoring protocols (SNMP, Syslog, Telemetry).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and support datacenter environments, including overlay technologies (VXLAN) and EVPN-BGP.
  • Document complex technologies and topologies using Visio.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in network engineering and infrastructure automation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Network Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering and infrastructure automation.
  • Cisco CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or other network engineer certifications preferred.
