Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Recruitment and Retention Coordinator to join our team at New Haven Public Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading recruitment efforts to attract and retain top talent for our school district.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic recruitment initiatives to meet the diverse needs of our student population
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key partner organizations to build a pipeline of high-quality candidates
  • Perform analysis of recruitment strategies to evaluate effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
  • Work with school principals and central office administrators to create and revise job descriptions to meet the unique needs of our portfolio school district
  • Provide ongoing support to and communication with highly recommended candidates
  • Track accepted offers and coordinate with the NHPS Staffing Team to ensure effective hiring of new teachers
Requirements
  • Five years of recruiting experience, preferably in an educational setting
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; master's degree preferred
  • Ability to travel and commit to a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and comfort with learning new information technology applications
