Job Title: Satellite Mission Planning Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Satellite Mission Planning Systems Engineer to join our team at Peraton. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing system engineering for Satellite Mission Planning and Scheduling applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Derive and analyze system requirements for mission planning and scheduling software applications, including system design and oversight of implementation and testing using Agile development methodology in a cloud environment.
  • Develop scheduling algorithms of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Collaborate with the Agile team to plan, implement, and demonstrate capability in an ongoing basis per the Agile Sprint cycles.
Qualifications:
  • BS degree (or equivalent) with 2-4 years of related work experience, or M.S. Degree with 0-2 years of related experience, or H.S. Diploma/GED with 6-8 years of related experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with Agile software development methodology for the design, implementation, and testing of software applications.
  • Expertise in data structures and algorithms.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain polygraph.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with mission planning and scheduling systems.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services cloud architecture associated with cloud development.
  • Proficient in MS Office (3 years' experience creating technical documents).
  • Proficient communication and organization skills to interact with internal company contacts and customers.
