About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team at BioLife Plasma Services. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors. Your primary responsibility will be to determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, manage donor adverse events, and review laboratory test results.

You will work under the guidance of the Center Manager and the Center Physician to ensure that all medical procedures are followed in accordance with regulatory requirements and BioLife's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential in this role.

In addition to your medical expertise, you will also be responsible for providing excellent customer service to our donors, responding to their concerns and addressing any issues that may arise during the donation process.

Responsibilities
  • Determine donor eligibility to donate plasma
  • Manage donor adverse events
  • Review laboratory test results
  • Provide excellent customer service to donors
  • Work collaboratively with the Center Manager and Center Physician to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and SOPs
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA)
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
  • Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy
  • Satisfactorily complete the FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
  • Two years in a clinical or hospital setting
