Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Operator to join our team on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts. As an essential team member, you will be responsible for reading instructions, setting up machines, performing quality checks, managing changeovers, problem-solving, and maintaining a safe, dynamic production environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read job specifications and previous run data to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
  • Ensure job is in order prior to machine set-up.
  • Perform set-ups and changeovers, per specifications.
  • Complete machine/line clearance at the end of each production run.
  • Repackage unused bulk stock to ensure proper storage and maintain cleanliness.
  • Read and interpret machine and safety instructions.
  • Ensure that all quality standards are met, tests performed, and data collection/documentation completed as required.
  • Report discrepancies to lead/supervisor.
  • Back up in other areas of the print department with the shared goal to meet all printing deadlines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years' experience in a production environment, preferably in print.
  • Attention to detail and ability to collect and report variable data during production operation.
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Applicable machine operating and computer skills.
  • Strong work ethic, dependable job performance, and reliable attendance.
  • Must be flexible with hours during peak season and hot jobs.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, for up to 2 hours continuously.
  • Extend and reach with hands and arms and use hands and fingers.
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Extensive sitting and computer use.
