Job Title: Physical Therapist/Shift-Based/UKHC

Job Summary:

The Physical Therapist will provide direct patient care and will assist the supervisor and senior leaders in program development while adhering to the policies and procedures of the University of Kentucky HealthCare Enterprise and in accordance with state and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform physical therapy evaluations and render physical therapy treatments following a physician's order
  • Treat patients with a variety of diagnoses
  • Perform appropriate documentation in the medical record

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Physical Therapy or related field
  • Certification eligible
  • One to two years' experience in hospital-based acute care preferred

Work Environment:

This position requires regularly lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to or over 50 pounds; and occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; and performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing).

Shift:

Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. with occasional weekends/holidays.
