Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to devise strategies for complex environmental issues;
  • Leading field operations and design initiatives;
  • Planning and executing fieldwork, which may include various sampling techniques, contractor oversight, and construction quality assurance;
  • Assessing chemical data and understanding contaminant behavior;
  • Conducting evaluations of chemical source forensics;
  • Reviewing and analyzing sediment, surface water, and groundwater technologies, performing cost estimations, and drafting design calculations;
  • Compiling and interpreting data, including historical document reviews and the creation of maps and figures;
  • Preparing technical documentation, including reports, plans, and proposals;

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil, water resources, coastal, or environmental engineering, or a related field (required);
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field (preferred but not mandatory);
  • Professional registration (e.g., E.I.T. or P.E.) (preferred);

Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (required);
  • Ability to comprehend and summarize technical information from various sources (required);
  • Technical expertise in engineering, geology, geotechnical, environmental, or related fields (preferred);
  • Field experience in areas such as coastal vulnerability assessments and sediment sampling (preferred);
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards related to environmental remediation (valuable);
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and GIS software (preferred);
  • Strong writing and communication skills (required);
  • A valid U.S. driver's license with a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required).
