Electrical Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Associated Environmental Systems. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing electrical control systems for our clients in the aerospace, electronics, and automotive industries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical control systems, including control panels and electrical devices, using SolidWorks Electrical and following ANSI & IEC standards.
  • Perform calculations related to control panel design, including power distribution, and document Electrical Load Analyses (ELAs) on single, dual, and 3-phase applications.
  • Develop solutions aimed at increasing efficiency and repeatability in our manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with IEC, NEC, CE, and IPC requirements, including UL508A & UL61010.
  • Troubleshoot existing designs and develop creative improvements for efficiency and surge capability, along with testing and manufacturing throughput.
  • Assist in debugging field wiring issues with electricians and define electrical components to be used in electrical control systems.
  • Review and comment on supplier data as required and design alternative and/or replacement parts for existing equipment.
Requirements:
  • Five or more years of Electrical Engineering experience, with a strong background in control systems and electrical design.
  • Knowledge of 2D CAD software, including SolidWorks Electrical, and industrial control systems.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • A four-year degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, with a strong academic record.
