Job Opportunity: Civil Engineering Intern

Bolton & Menk, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineering Intern to join our team for the 2025 summer internship season.

About the Role:

As a Civil Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain practical on-the-job experience in civil engineering, planning, and design. You will assist with tasks involving civil engineering, planning, and design, and will have the chance to work on various projects, including transportation, environmental, and civil/municipal projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with civil engineering projects, including tasks involving planning, design, and construction administration.
  • Prepare reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Assist with construction observation, perform construction staking, and perform construction administration duties.
  • May also assist with various reports, complete design calculations, write specifications, and review shop drawings.

Requirements:

  • Enrolled in a Civil Engineering degree program or closely related program from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8; desired GPA of 3.2 or above.
  • Current status: Sophomore or above with completed coursework in general surveying and AutoCAD drafting.
  • Ability to work in extended outdoor conditions and be physically capable of navigating rugged terrain.
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation or ability to use public transportation.
