Position Overview:
The Pastry Chef is responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods and pastries of the highest quality, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards. This role involves working closely with the Executive Pastry Chef to innovate and produce unique offerings for our dining outlets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare baked goods according to production schedules and event orders, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Begin preparations for food items in advance, ensuring that production aligns with estimated needs.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functionality.
- Label and date all food containers, adhering to storage policies and maintaining proper temperature controls.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to maintain a harmonious work environment.
- 3-5 years of experience in culinary and baking roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent culinary education.
- Proficiency in working with laminated dough and other high-quality products.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
