Key Responsibilities:
In the capacity of Senior Project Accountant, you will be responsible for:

Independently managing client invoicing, overseeing collections, and maintaining project budgets, while also providing backup support for accounts payable, timesheet processing, and expense report management. Ensuring accurate documentation and administration of contracts, including the entry of fees and budgets. Collaborating with project teams to deliver timely performance data and address any financial discrepancies. Coordinating the project accounting system within the department and liaising with technical staff to ensure adherence to contractual obligations. Supporting multiple project managers and team members on a daily basis. Mentoring junior accountants as necessary. Performing additional duties as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

Required Qualifications:

An associate degree in a relevant field or a combination of education and experience. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; an advanced degree may compensate for years of experience. Familiarity with Earned Value Management principles. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment. Self-driven, organized, and detail-oriented. Capacity to handle confidential information with discretion. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Word and Outlook. A commitment to actively participating in our employee-owned culture.
