Senior Project Accountant Job Description

At The Walsh Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Project Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the accounting for mega-projects and/or multiple large projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and process subcontracts, subcontract change orders, and Performance and Payment bonds to ensure compliance with specified terms.
  • Collect and review project subcontractor/supplier lien waivers.
  • Collect, review, and process subcontractor/supplier monthly project invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Exhibit a high-level understanding of the Walsh cost report and Accounting functions related to costs posted to the cost report.
  • Process cost transfers on project cost report for Project Management staff.
  • Perform in-depth monthly analysis of owner billing and produce owner billing independently, when applicable.
  • Monitor cash flow and communicate with project staff on tracking A/R and project payments.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a business-related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction accounting or a related field.
