Position Overview:

We are looking for a Mortgage Loan Pre-Closing Specialist to become a vital part of our team. In this role, you will work under the guidance of experienced Mortgage Loan Closing personnel, providing essential support to the Mortgage Closing Team. Your responsibilities will include requesting, gathering, and reviewing closing documentation for mortgage files, assisting with post-closing processes as required, and performing additional tasks as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Log closing packages in compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Complete closing disclosure contact details and borrower certifications.
  • Conduct OFAC checks and investigate any positive matches.
  • Request, review, and amend preliminary title information.
  • Examine pest inspection reports and solicit further documentation when needed.
  • Review insurance binders and obtain necessary corrections.
  • Request updates for Verification of Employment.
  • Review invoices for payment processing.
  • Process wire transfer requests.
  • Assist with post-closing activities as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent with at least one year of relevant experience.
  • Strong dedication to our mission of creating economic opportunities for underserved communities.
  • Preference for working in collaborative and team-oriented environments.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to effectively plan, organize, and prioritize tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Willingness to learn about the mortgage closing process, requirements, and compliance standards.
  • Proficient technical skills, including the ability to learn new systems and proficiency in Word and Excel.
  • Flexibility to work beyond standard hours when necessary.
