Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and passionate Art Teacher to join our team at Uncommon Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Art to students in grades K-12, designing and implementing a comprehensive Art program, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and enriching educational experience for our students.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach Art to students in grades K-12, including elementary, middle school, and high school levels.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive Art program that aligns with state and national standards.
  • Develop and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes creativity and self-expression.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and enriching educational experience for our students.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in Art education.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Art Education or a related field.
  • Valid New York State teaching certification or eligibility for certification.
  • Experience teaching Art in a K-12 setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
