Job Summary

Community Counseling Solutions is seeking a skilled Substance Use Disorder Recovery Navigator to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the Department of Human Services to reunify individuals with their families and available resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive substance use disorder assessments and develop client-centered service plans.
  • Collaborate with the Department of Human Services to remove barriers to treatment and family reunification.
  • Provide support to clients at DHS court hearings and meetings when necessary.
  • Help educate DHS staff about substance use and its impact on individuals and families.
  • Assist clients and family members in identifying and combating stigma and discrimination associated with recovery.
  • Coordinate care, warm handoffs, treatment referrals, and removal of treatment barriers.
  • Utilize harm reduction strategies as appropriate.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and complete documentation of all clinical documents and subsequent data entry.
  • May be required to provide sworn testimony to a court of record.
  • Participate in clinical supervision as requested.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Able to pass a criminal history background check.
  • Those recovering from a substance use disorder must be able to document continuous abstinence under independent living conditions or recovery housing for the immediate past two years.
  • Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor Certification-level I, or the ability to obtain within 1 year of employment.

Work Environment:

This position requires the ability to work in an office environment and in the community, with occasional out-of-area travel and overnight stays for meetings and training. The employee will be required to work in the community and homes of clients, which may involve uneven terrain and exposure to everyday risks or discomforts.
