Job Summary

Community Counseling Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Substance Use Disorder Recovery Navigator to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive substance use disorder assessments, developing client-centered service plans, and collaborating with community partners to support individuals and families affected by substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough substance use disorder assessments and develop client-centered service plans in accordance with Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs) and the mission and values of CCS.
  • Work closely with the Department of Human Services to reunify individuals with their families and provide support to clients at DHS court hearings and meetings when necessary.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families to help them understand and combat stigma and discrimination associated with recovery.
  • Assist with care coordination, warm handoffs, treatment referrals, and removing treatment barriers to support clients in achieving their recovery goals.
  • Utilize harm reduction strategies, in consultation with supervisor, when appropriate.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and complete documentation of all clinical documents and subsequent data entry when required.
  • Participate in clinical supervision and other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Able to pass a criminal history background check.
  • Those recovering from a substance use disorder must be able to document continuous abstinence under independent living conditions or recovery housing for the immediate past two years.
  • Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor Certification-level I, or the ability to obtain within 1 year of employment.

Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work in an office environment and in the community, with occasional out-of-area travel and overnight stays for meetings and training. The employee must be able to participate in vehicle travel between partner offices, individual homes, and in the community. The position exposes the employee to everyday risks or discomforts typical of such places as an office.
