Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner

Welcome to United Hospital Center, where we're dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. As an LPN II in our Orthopedic department, you'll play a vital role in supporting our physicians and delivering high-quality nursing care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, as outlined in the patient's plan of care and/or as directed by the overseeing role, to promote comfort and/or return to functional health for the patient.
- Perform designated therapeutic procedures to assigned patients as needed.
- Accurately observe, record and report to the overseeing role, all patient concerns, symptoms, reactions and progress in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Current unencumbered licensure with the WV Board of Practical Nursing, or appropriate state board where services will be provided, as a practical nurse.
- Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
- West Virginia state criminal background check, and federal, if applicable, required for DHHR regulated area.
Working Environment:
- Protracted or irregular hours.
- Exposure to biohazards, communicable diseases, and possible toxins, such as radiological and chemical.
