Job Summary:
Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Skilled Care (Weekend Nights) - Join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals at UHC United Hospital Center. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will work closely with our skilled nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient care. Your primary focus will be on providing medical and nursing care to patients with complex medical needs.
Additional Job Description:
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week (varies based on the needs of the department)
Shift: Weekend (United States of America) - you will work on a rotating weekend schedule, which includes nights, weekends, and holidays
Exempt/Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt

Job Description:
As a Nurse Practitioner, you will work under the supervision of a physician to provide medical and nursing care to patients with complex medical needs. Your responsibilities will include:
Assessment and Diagnosis:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' medical conditions
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet patients' needs
Medication Management:
- Prescribe and manage medications as needed
Education and Support:
- Educate patients and their families on disease management and self-care techniques
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Education: Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Licensure: Current RN licensure in West Virginia and certification as a Nurse Practitioner
Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
