Job Description

The Church Administrative Secretary role at Abundant Life Christian Center (ALCC) is a dynamic position that requires a highly organized and tech-savvy individual to support the Senior Pastors. This person must be flexible, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and possess excellent communication skills.

Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per annum

Location: Hybrid, working from home and on-site

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the senior pastor's calendar appointments, meetings, and phone calls, ensuring timely notifications and updates.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, including itinerary planning, ticket purchases, and hotel bookings.
  • Prepare checks as directed by the Senior Pastor, maintaining accurate record-keeping for outgoing and incoming funds.
  • Store and manage hard copy and electronic documents, including sensitive information and backups.
  • Prepare documents for staff and leadership team meetings, ensuring timely distribution.
  • Develop sermon slides under the direction of the senior pastor, utilizing design software and creativity.
  • Compile weekly scorecards of ministry-related metrics, providing valuable insights for decision-making.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ, aligning with ALCC's vision and values.
  • Proficiency in church management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, Google Suite, Zoom, and Church Database Administration Systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective interaction with congregants, visitors, and external partners.
  • Ability to work on weekends and weeknights, adapting to a dynamic schedule.
  • Active listening skills, empathy, and discretion when handling confidential matters.
