Job Summary

As a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist at American Family Care, you will play a crucial role in assisting physicians in diagnosing injuries and diseases by performing radiographic and other diagnostic imaging procedures. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the highest quality images are produced, and your attention to detail will be vital in maintaining accurate records and reports.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and explain procedures in a compassionate and clear manner
  • Position patients appropriately for diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety
  • Practice ALARA radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure
  • Process images, review for proper identification and quality control, and prepare images for reading by a physician and radiologist overreads
  • Utilize digital and non-digital diagnostic imaging equipment, adhering to approved radiology techniques and policies
  • Aid providers with prescribed patient treatments, following approved standards, policies, and protocols
  • Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on equipment, arranging for repairs as needed
  • Complete forms and maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed
  • Assist with administrative and clinical needs, such as patient registration and medical assisting duties
Qualifications

We are seeking an Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one-year related experience and/or training. ARRT-registered or board eligible is preferred, and licensed per state regulation. In some states, Medical Assistant Certification or registry, Practical Nursing License, EMT, or Paramedic certification is acceptable.

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is $22.00.
