Job Summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic and vascular ultrasound procedures, including common and special ultrasound exams of moderate complexity.

You will provide direct assistance to physicians with all diagnostic and special ultrasound/vascular procedures, delivering exceptional patient care and adhering to ultrasound exam standards and guidelines established by governing agencies to ensure optimal patient safety and customer service.

This role is a member of the direct patient care team and requires strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with other healthcare professionals and provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including common and special ultrasound exams of moderate complexity.
  • Provide direct assistance to physicians with all diagnostic and special ultrasound/vascular procedures.
  • Deliver exceptional patient care and adhere to ultrasound exam standards and guidelines established by governing agencies.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below in the Certifications, Licenses and Registrations section.
  • RDMS-OB, RDMS-AB, RDMS-BR, ARRT-SON, ARRT-VS, RVS, or RVT certification within 18 months.
  • BLS certification.
