Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Ultrasound/Vascular Technologist II to join our team at Houston Methodist. This role requires a skilled professional who can perform a variety of routine to highly complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including common and special ultrasound exams, as well as vascular ultrasound exams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including common and special ultrasound exams, and vascular ultrasound exams.
  • Assist physicians with diagnostic procedures and special ultrasound exams, including assisting with sterile technique.
  • Provide accurate explanations and instructions to patients and family members at an appropriate level.
  • Follow safety standards and conduct all imaging procedures accordingly.
  • Identify opportunities for corrective action and process improvement, and contribute to meeting department and hospital targets for quality and safety.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below.
  • Three years' experience as a Ultrasound Technologist.
  • RDMS-OB, RDMS-AB, RDMS-BR, ARRT-SON, ARRT-VS, RVS, RVT, and BLS certifications.
