Surgical Services Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Services Coordinator to join our team at the Surgery Center of Fairbanks. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations and schedule implementation of the Operating Room, ensuring that our fiscal, equipment, and personnel resources are utilized in an effective, efficient, and safe manner.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the daily operations of the Operating Room, including scheduling, staffing, and supply management
- Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, risk management, and quality improvement policies and procedures
- Collaborate with staff, management, administration, physicians, and community to achieve mission, vision, values, goals, and objectives
- Precept, mentor, orient, evaluate, counsel, and coach employees to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
- Maintain accreditation, infection control, laser safety, patient safety, sterilization, dress, and AORN standards in planning, implementing, and evaluating work processes and staff assignments
- At least 3 years of OR experience, including orthopedics
- Prior leadership experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Knowledge of safety, infection control, and quality improvement policies and procedures

We specialize in outpatient surgery, where surgical procedures are performed and patients are allowed to go home the same day. We have a fully dedicated pediatric procedure room for children to make their experience easier.
