About the Role

Strike 1 Recruitment is collaborating with a prominent Chartered Accounting firm in search of a skilled Intermediate Accountant to join their Business Advisory team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive financial statements, including management and annual accounts.
  • Identify potential challenges or opportunities in daily operations and communicate these to Managers.
  • Propose areas for enhancement and present these suggestions to the Director.
  • Handle tax return preparations, encompassing GST, PAYE, and FBT.
  • Engage directly with clients to address inquiries or provide necessary information.
  • Deliver services on client sites as required, supporting specific projects.
  • Assist Managers in reviewing files and completing special assignments or projects.
  • Collaborate closely with team members in India, delegating tasks effectively.
  • Contribute to the Firm's growth by supporting client acquisition and retention efforts.
  • Help the team meet client service requirements by completing tasks and assignments as needed.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and discussions.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a Business Advisory setting.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify problems, conduct research, and deliver high-quality results.
  • A commitment to quality by adhering to and updating quality procedures.
  • Effective planning and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage timelines.
  • Resilience and adaptability to maintain performance under pressure.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or a related discipline.
  • Progress towards a CA qualification.
  • Experience in public practice is highly regarded.
