Job Overview

Amphenol PCD is seeking a Quality Inspector - Level II to enhance our operations.

Position Summary:

The Quality Inspector will be responsible for the thorough inspection of incoming materials, in-process components, and final products related to cable and connector manufacturing. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct mechanical, electrical, and visual inspections of connectors and cable assemblies.
  • Maintain accurate quality documentation.
  • Draft Non-Conformance Reports (DMRs) and support investigations as needed.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Excel and general software applications.
  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand measuring tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members.
  • Competence in using basic measuring instruments such as calipers, protractors, depth gauges, microscopes, optical measuring devices, scales, rulers, tape measures, and gage pins.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Background in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Experience with Macola and WinSPC software.
  • Familiarity with database management.

Education Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of technical college education in Engineering or Computer Science.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to perform medium work, including lifting objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Capability to use ladders and/or stairs.
  • Willingness to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Engagement in repetitive hand, wrist, or finger movements.
