Amphenol PCD is seeking a Quality Inspector - Level II to enhance our operations.
Position Summary:
The Quality Inspector will be responsible for the thorough inspection of incoming materials, in-process items, and final products related to cable and connector manufacturing. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct mechanical, electrical, and visual inspections of connectors and cable assemblies.
- Maintain comprehensive quality documentation.
- Draft Discrepancy Management Reports (DMRs) and assist in investigations as needed.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Excel and general software applications.
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand measuring tools.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members.
- Competence in using basic measuring instruments (calipers, protractors, depth gauges, microscopes, optical measuring devices, scales, rulers, and gage pins).
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Background in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or Computer Science.
- Experience with Macola and WinSPC software.
- Familiarity with database management.
Educational Requirements:
- At least one year of technical college education in Engineering or Computer Science.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to perform medium work, including lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
- Capability to use ladders and/or stairs.
- Willingness to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Repetitive hand, wrist, or finger movements are required.
