Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled GNC Program Director to join our team in Long Beach. As a key member of our Flight Dynamics and GNC team, you will play a critical role in the development of systems required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with leadership to set goals, objectives, and performance metrics for the GNC team.
  • Lead requirements gathering and systems engineering functions for the GNC team.
  • Work with mission assurance to establish GNC contributions to and evaluation of metrics for validation and verification events.
  • Apply change, risk, and resource management principles.
  • Manage schedules and allocate resources in support of ongoing missions.
  • Report detailed status to leadership and the executive team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering or a similar discipline.
  • 8+ years of space industry engineering experience.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Master's Degree or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or a similar discipline.
  • Knowledge of computer applications and the ability to navigate different software programs.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to make independent judgments with limited information.
  • Strong communication skills for relaying data between employees, vendors, and customers.
  • Logical and strategic approach to solving problems.
  • Comfortable working in a high-stress environment balancing multiple projects and adjusting to abrupt changes in strategic direction.
Additional Requirements
  • Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends to support critical mission milestones.
