Job Title: Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in Electrical Engineering

We are seeking qualified candidates with expertise in Digital Design and Embedded Systems and Mobile and Wireless Communications and closely related areas.

The Department of Electrical Engineering in the College of Engineering at Illinois State University invites applications for two open rank tenure-track positions beginning in Fall Semester 2025.

Responsibilities will include curriculum and laboratory development, effective undergraduate teaching/research, grant writing and research/scholarship, and service including high school visits, industry collaborations, and workshops for student recruitment.

The positions are nine-month, tenure-track appointments with the possibility of summer teaching.

Salary, rank, and the status of tenure (probationary tenure-track or tenured) are commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • A terminal degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position, as mandated by state law.

Proposed Starting Date: August 16, 2025 An earlier start date is possible, conditional upon budget availability and departmental needs.
