Job Summary

The Department of Electrical Engineering at Illinois State University invites applications for two open rank tenure-track positions in the College of Engineering. We seek qualified candidates with expertise in Digital Design and Embedded Systems and Mobile and Wireless Communications and closely related areas.

Responsibilities for these positions will change from year to year until the new College reaches its steady state by 2029 or earlier.

Responsibilities will include curriculum and laboratory development; effective undergraduate teaching/research including freshman and senior design advising; grant writing and research/scholarship; and service including high school visits, industry collaborations, and workshops for student recruitment.

Requirements
  • A terminal degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position, as mandated by state law.
What We Offer

The positions are nine-month, tenure-track appointments with the possibility of summer teaching. Salary, rank, and the status of tenure (probationary tenure-track or tenured) are commensurate with qualifications and experience. A comprehensive benefits package is included.
