Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Personnel Security Specialist II to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations and providing recommendations for security clearance approvals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct complex security assessments and investigations to determine an individual's suitability for security clearance.
  • Provide support and analysis to program managers and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with security regulations and policies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with government agencies and other stakeholders to obtain and share information related to security clearance investigations.
  • Collaborate with other team members to identify and address security vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports and recommendations to management and other stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing security regulations and policies to ensure compliance and provide expert guidance to the team.
Requirements
  • Active Top Secret US Government Clearance required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in personnel security investigations or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications and other relevant tools and technologies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Federal Investigative Standards (FIS), Security Executive Agent Directives (SEADs), Executive Orders (EOs), and U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (US CFR).
  • Experience working with government agencies and other stakeholders to obtain and share information related to security clearance investigations.
  • Strong understanding of security regulations and policies, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
