Job Title: Armed Security Officer - DOD Secret Clearance Site

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Armed Security Officer to join our team in Huntsville, AL. As an Armed Security Officer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information. You will conduct patrols within and around the facility, greet guests and employees, and assist with escorting visitors and contractors.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information.
  • Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure the protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information.
  • Preserve order and enforce rules, regulations, and directives for the viability of the site.
  • Greet guests and employees, assisting where appropriate; escort visitors and contractors, secure ingress and egress points, secure classified information.
  • Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders, reporting safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and verbal communication; interact with client and/or other security personnel regarding order execution when appropriate.
  • Respond to and assess security alarms or emergency alarms; act as a first responder in emergency situations and provide first aid as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • Must be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) position appropriate level security clearance (national security eligibility determinations take into account a person's stability, trustworthiness, reliability, discretion, character, honesty, and judgment).
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years of law enforcement, military, or private armed security experience.
  • Must be a United States Citizen in order to obtain the required government clearance.
  • Must be able to articulate and write clear and concise incident or situation reports.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field.
