Job Title: Clinical Nurse Specialist Coordinator NICU

At NorthBay Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist Coordinator to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team. As an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in coordinating clinical and educational resources, as well as care standards for our neonatal and pediatric critical care patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of clinical nursing practice and patient care delivery
  • Development of personnel and compliance with regulatory and professional standards
  • Fostering of interdisciplinary, collaborative relationships
  • Accountability for bringing innovative ideas from and to the bedside
  • Coordination and provision of educational programs for staff
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Nursing required
  • MSN major in clinical nurse specialist, clinical nurse leader, education, or related healthcare field required
  • Current California RN License required
  • Certification in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing from a nationally recognized accrediting organization within 1 year of hire
  • Certification by the National Certification Corporation (NCC) required
  • Current AHA or equivalent BLS
  • Current NRP certification required
  • Current Clinical Nurse Specialist certification is required
Experience:
  • Working knowledge of healthcare practices, patient care equipment, and products required
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in neonatal nursing care, at least one of which has been in a facility with a NICU that is equivalent to a Regional or Community NICU
  • Minimum 3 years of education or clinical specialist experience with increasing scope of responsibility preferred
Skills:
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
  • Possesses instructional ability, leadership ability, and high professional standards
  • Must be well organized, be able to set priorities, work independently, and be an effective team member
