Neurophysiologist/Clinical Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Neurophysiologist/Clinical Scientist to join our team at IU Health Physicians. As a key member of our Departments of Neurology and Neurological Surgery, you will play a crucial role in advancing our clinical and research programs.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of neurosurgeons, epileptologists, and movement disorder specialists. Your primary responsibilities will include providing intraoperative neuromonitoring (IOM) services, with a focus on microelectrode recording and intraoperative subcortical mapping and interpretation for deep brain stimulation (DBS). You will also have the opportunity to engage in independent research, collaborate with other investigators, and contribute to the development of interdepartmental research programs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide IOM services, including microelectrode recording and intraoperative subcortical mapping and interpretation for DBS
- Engage in independent research, including laboratory and clinical studies
- Collaborate with neurosurgeons, epileptologists, and movement disorder specialists to advance clinical and research programs
- Contribute to the development of interdepartmental research programs
- PhD in neuroscience, bioengineering, neurophysiology, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience with IOM, specifically supporting DBS
- Experience with StealthStation, MatLab/Python, LeadDBS, Freesurfer, and other stereotactic clinical neuroscience research modalities
- Strong grantsmanship, scientific authorship, and collaborative research skills
