About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join our team at Indiana University Health, a leading healthcare system in the state. As a Data Scientist, you will play a critical role in driving data-driven decision-making to promote health equity across our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide data analysis and database management support to programs and initiatives.
  • Serve as a resource person to all levels of management in reviewing, understanding, and analyzing data for performance improvement initiatives.
  • Provide data analysis support, report generation, data validation, and serve as an expert user, providing training for additional system users.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis and statistical modeling.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques.
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL and data modeling.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, along with experience using data manipulation and visualization libraries (e.g., pandas, numpy, matplotlib, seaborn).
  • Experience with statistical methods and machine learning algorithms (e.g., resampling methods, ensemble models, forecasting models).
  • Demonstrated experience creating dashboards using tools like Tableau.
  • Familiarity with cloud services such as Azure.
  • Experience working with healthcare data (e.g., electronic health records, claims data, clinical trials data) and familiarity with healthcare standards and terminologies (e.g., HL7, ICD, CPT).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical end users.
