Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist I to join our team at Actalent. As a Medical Laboratory Scientist I, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of laboratory testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Specimen Acceptance and Testing: Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
  • Instrumentation and Equipment: Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
  • Technical Decision Making: Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem-solving.
  • Quality Control and Maintenance: Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
  • Supply Management: Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
  • Team Collaboration: Assist with processing specimens when needed and maintain a safe work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
  • Experience: 0-2 years of clinical laboratory testing experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with computers and familiarity with laboratory information systems.
  • Soft Skills: Ability to work independently and within a team environment, high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and organizational skills.
