About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Universal Banker to join our team at United Community Bank. As a key member of our branch team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service
    • Provide personalized service to depositors for new checking, savings, and certificate accounts
    • Offer account advice, resolution suggestions, and other information to assigned customers as needed
    • Engage customers in conversations to identify opportunities to enhance relationships and promote financial wellness
  • Product Knowledge
    • Possess comprehensive knowledge of all retail products and services, including Individual Retirement Accounts
    • Renew maturing IRAs, process IRA transfers, rollovers, and disbursements
  • Teller Operations
    • Receive checks for account deposits, verify amounts, check endorsements
    • Cash checks and process withdrawals, verify signatures and customer balances
    • Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds
  • Branch Support
    • Assist with vault money when applicable, including ordering/shipping/balancing
    • Verify cash received/shipped, order and manage inventory of official checks and other negotiable items for teller area use
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Minimum of one-year retail experience
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent interpersonal skills for dealing with both internal and external customers
    • Strong telephone and customer service skills
    • Proficient computer operation skills and ability to operate standard office equipment
Work Environment

This role is located within the United Community Bank network and requires flexibility for evening and weekend shifts. Up to 20% travel may be required.
