About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team at Christus Health. As a Patient Access Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience from the moment they arrive at our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately input patient demographic and financial information into our system, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations for services rendered.
- Calculate and collect patient portions based on benefits and contract reimbursement, as well as prior balances.
- Perform financial assessments for program assistance and communicate with patients and families to obtain necessary signatures.
- Represent the Patient Access department in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
- Assist with disaster preparedness and response efforts as needed.
- Support the flexible needs of the department to accommodate patient volume and achieve established performance targets.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; 1-3 years of experience preferred.
