Job Overview:
The HME Intake Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for clients and referral sources seeking home medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics, and supplies.
This role involves verifying customer demographic and financial details, including insurance eligibility and benefits, authorizations, and completing all necessary documentation required by payers and regulatory agencies.
The Coordinator collects prescriptions and medical records to assess qualifying criteria, leveraging knowledge of payer source rules and regulations.
Data entry into the computer system is essential to support the successful processing of HME orders while providing excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
A High School diploma or GED is required.
A one-year certificate from a college or technical school or 3 to 6 months of relevant experience and/or training is preferred.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM; 80 hours every two weeks.
Compensation:
The hourly wage for this position is competitive and will be determined based on experience.
