About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transmission Project Manager to join our team at FirstEnergy. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and controlling projects to ensure they safely achieve their deliverables within the approved scope, cost, and schedule.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong project management skills, technical expertise, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will work closely with our project team, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Review and approve project documents, including contracts, requisitions, and project plans
  • Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and ensuring adequate funding
  • Coordinate with business services personnel to prepare capital expenditure authorizations and associated project budget revisions
  • Provide project status updates to management and stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Construction Management, or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of related experience, with a strong background in project management, engineering, finance, or construction
  • Excellent project management skills, with experience in developing, managing, and controlling multiple tasks
  • Strong technical skills, with experience in project management tools, such as Primavera or MS Project
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
