About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and creative individual to join our team as a Lead Activity Assistant at Aegis Living. As a key member of our Life Enrichment team, you will play a vital role in designing and implementing engaging activities for our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Life Enrichment Director to develop and implement activity programs that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents.
  • Coordinate community-wide events, such as themed parties, holiday celebrations, and guest speaker presentations, to foster a sense of community and social connection among residents.
  • Design and lead innovative enrichment programs and activities that promote cognitive stimulation, physical activity, and emotional well-being.
  • Participate in activities such as painting, pottery, lunch outings, shopping trips, sporting events, card games, exercise classes, puzzles, games, movies, and more.
  • Maintain a professional and caring attitude towards residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity at all times.
Requirements
  • Caring and compassionate attitude, with a strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives of seniors.
  • Experience working with seniors in assisted living or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to use computers, TVs, apps, and other electronic devices to support activity programs.
  • A musical background, art background, or experience in event planning for seniors is a significant asset.
