  • 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (flexible hours)
Work Location: San Antonio, TX
*Contract Position for a Minimum of 6 Months with Potential for Extension
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct thorough auditory assessments for all residents scheduled for evaluation on the assigned testing day.
  • Evaluations encompass a range of tests including but not limited to admittance testing, behavioral observation audiometry, visual reinforcement audiometry, pure-tone audiometry, hearing screenings, word recognition assessments, and speech awareness evaluations.
  • Provide suitable recommendations for ongoing care, which may involve the acquisition of hearing aids or other auditory devices, referrals to Ear Nose and Throat specialists as needed, and routine hearing assessments.
  • Prepare detailed reports for each resident, documenting case history, test outcomes, and recommendations promptly.
  • Perform any additional duties necessary to ensure the continued audiological health of residents.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Doctoral degree from a program accredited by a recognized national accrediting body approved by the Board and acknowledged by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Valid Photo Identification.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
  • Experience or familiarity working with individuals experiencing severe mental health challenges is preferred.
