Job Title: Cardiac Medicine Professional Development Manager

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Medicine Professional Development Manager to join our team in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, where you will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing programs for staff development, education, research, quality, and evidence-based practice in Cardiac Medicine.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement professional development programs for nursing staff in Cardiac Medicine, including training, education, and mentorship.
  • Collaborate with Nurse Directors in Cardiac Medicine and Surgery to ensure alignment with hospital goals and objectives.
  • Conduct annual and ongoing evaluation of nurses, patient care assistants, emergency services assistants, and medical assistants, and provide formal and informal feedback.
  • Facilitate the acquisition of advanced clinical skills in clinical staff nurses and graduate students through role modeling, practice, coaching, and consultation in the clinical setting.
  • Participate in development of programs/systems to meet the requirements of state and federal regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.
  • Represent the Chief Nursing Officer/Associate Chief Nurses/Executive Directors on committees as needed.
Requirements:
  • MSN (or) MS with a major in Nursing (or) DNP (or) PhD with a major in Nursing (or) a BSN with a Master's degree in a related field, required.
  • 5 years or greater of Cardiovascular/Vascular nursing experience required.
  • Expertise in evidence-based practice, writing, research, and practice development.
  • Expertise in leading training and education programs.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office required and Epic skills preferred.
