Optometrist Department Manager

As a seasoned optometrist, you will oversee the daily operations of the optometry department at Kaiser Permanente. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and services while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor a team of optometrists, ensuring they adhere to established departmental policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement action plans to improve staff development, quality improvement, and patient satisfaction.
- Monitor and manage departmental budgets, staffing, and fiscal management to ensure optimal resource allocation.
- Investigate and resolve member concerns regarding patient care and services.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience as a practicing optometrist required.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in managing professional staff required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of quality improvement, clinical care delivery processes, staffing, and budgeting.
- Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local requirements.
