At Ledgent Finance & Accounting, we're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to take on a key role in managing our accounts payable processes.
Job Summary
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting the finance team with various tasks. This includes processing and verifying invoices for payment, reconciling vendor statements, and maintaining accurate records of accounts payable transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process and verify invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions.
• Prepare and process payments, including checks and electronic transfers.
• Assist in month-end closing activities and provide reports as needed.
• Support vendor inquiries and maintain positive relationships.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
We're looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and at least 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively.
